About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on patented technology enabling smartphone-camera creation of interactive 3D models with detailed measurements and advanced design capabilities
Develop and deliver intuitive, high-performing back-end and front-end solutions
Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders to align project goals and refine requirements
Evaluate technical approaches, discuss tradeoffs, and recommend solutions for complex challenges
Develop and refine full-stack services, applications, and tools using Ruby on Rails and React
Optimize application performance and scalability
Define, develop, and roll out new features with product managers and technical experts
Develop and integrate back-end and front-end components
Ensure seamless interaction between Ruby on Rails services and React applications
Identify process improvements, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and implement best practices to improve system efficiency and team productivity

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying web applications
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React
Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience building RESTful architectures and/or GraphQL APIs
Ability to design efficient, scalable, and secure interfaces for internal and external use
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
Proficiency in cloud-based environments such as AWS and Google Cloud
Experience building scalable applications supporting complex workflows
Experience building and growing products from initial launch through maturity
Proven ability to take features from concept through planning, development, testing, and final delivery
Team leadership experience guiding engineers
Experience working in an engineering-driven organization
Cross-functional collaboration experience with Product, Design, Analytics, and Legal
React Native mobile experience is nice to have
