About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders to align on goals, gather and refine requirements, and ensure seamless execution
Evaluate technical approaches, discuss tradeoffs, and recommend optimal solutions for complex challenges
Develop and refine full-stack services, applications, and tools using Ruby on Rails and React
Optimize implementation performance and scalability
Partner with product managers and technical experts to define, develop, and roll out new features
Develop and integrate back-end and front-end components
Ensure seamless interaction between Ruby on Rails services and React applications
Identify process enhancements and incorporate stakeholder feedback
Implement best practices to improve system efficiency and team productivity
Develop high-performing solutions for a patented product that creates interactive 3D models from smartphone camera images

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying web applications
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React
Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience building RESTful architectures and/or GraphQL APIs
Ability to design efficient, scalable, and secure interfaces
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
Proficiency in cloud-based environments such as AWS and Google Cloud
Experience building scalable applications supporting complex workflows
Experience building and growing products from initial launch through maturity
Technical leadership experience taking features from concept through planning, development, testing, and delivery
Team leadership experience guiding engineers
Experience working in an engineering-driven organization
Cross-functional collaboration experience with Product, Design, Analytics, and Legal
React Native mobile experience is nice to have
