About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct consultative, needs-based conversations with members to identify and recommend appropriate lending solutions
  • Guide members through the loan application process
  • Manage an active pipeline of loan applications from initial inquiry through funding
  • Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) for application handling, decision communication, and funding timelines
  • Utilize available tools to structure solutions, evaluate creditworthiness, and present tailored loan options
  • Proactively engage members through targeted outbound outreach
  • Identify opportunities to expand member relationships
  • Evaluate mortgage opportunities and refer qualified members to the Mortgage Lending Department
  • Partner closely with underwriting, processing, and branches to ensure a consistent lending experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in consumer lending, financial services sales, or credit analysis within a financial institution, or an equivalent combination of education and consumer lending experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in a production- and goal-driven environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of staff and members in a professional, approachable, and positive manner.
  • Computer literate and proficient in software applications, financial analysis programs, Adobe Acrobat, online research tools, and MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to self-improvement by taking the initiative of learning new skills, systems, and procedures as well as taking advantage of the continuous education opportunities within and outside of the Credit Union.
