About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct consultative, needs-based conversations with members to identify and recommend appropriate lending solutions
Guide members through the loan application process
Manage an active pipeline of loan applications from initial inquiry through funding
Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) for application handling, decision communication, and funding timelines
Utilize available tools to structure solutions, evaluate creditworthiness, and present tailored loan options
Proactively engage members through targeted outbound outreach
Identify opportunities to expand member relationships
Evaluate mortgage opportunities and refer qualified members to the Mortgage Lending Department
Partner closely with underwriting, processing, and branches to ensure a consistent lending experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma
2 to 4 years of experience in consumer lending, financial services sales, or credit analysis within a financial institution, or an equivalent combination of education and consumer lending experience.
Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills
Demonstrated success in a production- and goal-driven environment.
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of staff and members in a professional, approachable, and positive manner.
Computer literate and proficient in software applications, financial analysis programs, Adobe Acrobat, online research tools, and MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to demonstrate commitment to self-improvement by taking the initiative of learning new skills, systems, and procedures as well as taking advantage of the continuous education opportunities within and outside of the Credit Union.
