About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle Retail applications.
Design, develop, and optimise Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
Perform application support, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Develop and maintain UNIX shell scripts for automation and batch processing.
Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Support batch jobs, interfaces, and data integrations.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and project managers.
Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in Oracle Retail application development
Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development
Strong UNIX/Linux administration and shell scripting skills
Experience writing complex SQL queries and performance tuning
Experience with Oracle database design and optimisation
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Experience working with batch processing and file-based integrations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
