About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support for critical applications running on IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.
Monitor and ensure the availability, stability, and performance of Corporate Integrated Systems (SICs).
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex incidents in production environments.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
Monitor and oversee batch executions and online processes.
Respond to critical incidents, ensuring rapid recovery and stabilization of services.
Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Business teams in an international environment.
Ensure compliance with SLAs established for global operations.
Provide technical support and mentorship to the team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to increase system stability and performance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.
Advanced knowledge of:
JCL
SDSF
JES2 or JES3
TSO/ISPF
Control-M or a similar scheduling tool
Experience supporting critical production systems in a 24x7 environment.
Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex incidents.
Knowledge of:
COBOL (code analysis and reading)
DB2 / SQL
CICS
Familiarity with ITIL processes and practices.
Analytical skills, a sense of urgency, and a problem-solving focus.
Availability to work night shifts.
Intermediate or advanced Spanish and English for communication in a global environment.
