About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work on development, maintenance and integration of services in a Mainframe environment.
  • Monitor and operate batch workflows using Control-M.
  • Analyze, handle and resolve incidents, ensuring rapid service restoration.
  • Perform targeted fixes and corrective maintenance on COBOL programs.
  • Automate operational tasks using APIs, scripts and integrations with DevOps tools.
  • Create and maintain workflows using Control-M Self Service and Automation API.
  • Analyze ABENDs, logs, dependencies between JOBs and failures in batch processing.
  • Correlate metrics between Mainframe environments and distributed systems.
  • Participate in deployment, sustainment and production support processes.
  • Log incidents, actions taken and evidence, ensuring traceability of activities.
  • Collaborate with development, business, infrastructure and operations teams.
  • Support monitoring and observability initiatives using modern tools.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in Mainframe environments.
  • Experience with Control-M, Self Service and Automation API.
  • Knowledge of COBOL for corrective maintenance and program adjustments.
  • Experience in banking and financial environments.
  • Knowledge of banking processes and regulations (BACEN, SPB), and credit and lending operations.
  • Experience with automation via command line, REST APIs or DevOps tools.
  • Knowledge of observability using Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK or Grafana.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose ABENDs, logs and failures in batch processes.
  • Knowledge of system integration and operational monitoring.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working in critical environments.
