About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work in a Mainframe environment focused on development and maintenance of batch processes, ensuring workflow stability, SLA compliance, and handling incidents in critical systems.
Operate and monitor batch jobs in Control-M.
Ensure processes meet SLA requirements.
Handle failures (abends): analysis, correction, release and reprocessing (restart/rerun).
Perform troubleshooting and root cause identification.
Implement changes in JCL and COBOL/DB2 programs.
Adjust and validate SYSINs (parameter settings).
Analyze job executions (steps, return codes, datasets).
Follow change management processes (GMUD).
Interact with development, operations, and business teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with Control-M (dependencies, rerun/restart, troubleshooting).
Proficient in JCL and SYSIN.
Experience analyzing abends.
Experience working in a TSO/ISPF environment.
Practical knowledge of batch processing (return codes, steps, GDG, VSAM).
Experience with COBOL and DB2.
Availability to work shifts (evenings/nights and weekends).
Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
