About the role
- Perform advanced statistical analyses, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series, and statistical validation
- Develop and implement Machine Learning models (classification, regression, clustering)
- Work across the full modeling lifecycle: data preparation, training, tuning, validation and deployment
- Handle imbalanced datasets and optimize model performance
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data
- Work with Hive for table creation, partitioning and query optimization
- Build and maintain data pipelines, ensuring quality, reliability and scalability
- Define and promote best practices in Analytics and Data Science
- Serve as a technical reference, supporting and mentoring the team
- Translate business problems into analytical solutions and data models
- Communicate insights clearly to support decision-making
Requirements
- Strong experience in Statistics:
- Hypothesis testing
- Regression analysis
- Time series
- Statistical validation
- Advanced experience in Machine Learning:
- Classification, regression and clustering
- Model tuning
- Handling imbalanced data
- Building end-to-end pipelines
- Proficiency in Python for:
- Data analysis
- Modeling and visualization
- Use of libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost and LightGBM
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Hive (table creation, partitioning and query optimization)
- Knowledge in Data Engineering:
- Pipeline construction
- Orchestration
- Data quality
- Experience in technical leadership and methodology definition
- Experience with Databricks environment: notebooks, clusters, integrations and version control with Git
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational data modeling
- Familiarity with Generative AI:
- LLMs
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- AI agents
- Experience in consultative roles and understanding business processes
- Ability to communicate insights clearly and strategically
