About the role
- Develop and maintain data capture and ingestion services integrated with the COBOL environment.
- Work on data persistence in a historical receipts/vouchers database.
- Develop queries, routines, and processes for generating receipts/vouchers.
- Model, structure, and maintain databases according to business needs.
- Define and implement communication contracts between legacy systems and new interfaces.
- Participate in integrations with messaging tools, such as Kafka (when applicable).
- Ensure the stability, security, and performance of developed solutions.
- Analyze and resolve incidents in critical environments.
Requirements
- Solid experience in COBOL development.
- Proven experience in legacy systems integration.
- Knowledge of messaging tools (Kafka is considered a plus).
- Experience with data modeling and building queries for databases.
- Prior work in critical environments, preferably in the financial sector.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in this role or related areas.
- Strong logical reasoning and systems thinking.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills for interaction with technical teams and business areas.
- Proactive in problem resolution.
- Sense of responsibility and commitment to meeting deliverables.
