About the role

  • Measure the functional size of software systems using recognized function point analysis metrics.
  • Identify, classify and quantify system functionalities based on requested and delivered user requirements.
  • Apply measurement methodologies to ensure standardization, consistency and comparability across different projects and applications.
  • Support the preparation of effort, schedule, cost and resource estimates required for system development and maintenance.
  • Provide information to assist in the planning and monitoring of software development activities.
  • Assist in defining and tracking productivity and quality indicators for projects.
  • Support project management and technical teams with information that contributes to decision-making and continuous improvement of software engineering processes.

Requirements

  • Experience with Function Point Analysis (FPA) or software measurement metrics.
  • Knowledge of software engineering, requirements elicitation and functional analysis of systems.
  • Experience identifying and classifying functionalities in systems and applications.
  • Knowledge of effort estimation and sizing for software development projects.
  • Familiarity with productivity metrics and software quality indicators.
  • Certification or knowledge of IFPUG / NESMA / software metrics (differential).
  • Experience with agile or traditional development processes (Scrum, PMBOK, etc.) (differential).
  • Experience in development or maintenance projects for enterprise systems (differential).
  • Experience with project management or software metrics tools (differential).
