About the role

  • Work on the development, evolution and maintenance of Santander's critical systems
  • Work with legacy systems and new architectures, ensuring integration and performance
  • Participate in technical analysis, incident resolution and continuous improvements
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (business, development, architecture and operations)
  • Ensure quality, security and compliance of deliverables

Requirements

  • Proven experience in COBOL development on mainframe environments
  • Knowledge of batch and online processing routines
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret legacy code
  • Ability to produce technical documentation
  • Experience integrating with Java/cloud teams and business areas
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Comfortable working in regulated, high-criticality environments
  • Flexibility to work on global projects
