About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Measure and weigh chemical ingredients, according to procedure.
  • Read and understand batch procedures and work instructions including related MSDSs (material safety data sheets).
  • Record operational data, such as weights, ingredients used, processing times, or test results.
  • Draw samples of products for the Analytical Department.
  • Notify internal resources as directed to troubleshoot technical issues with equipment.
  • Operate equipment for chemical purification or reaction during product processing.
  • Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and flow as directed by supervision.
  • Collect product samples for QC analysis at designated stages to assess chemical properties.
  • Retrieve analytical results via SharePoint and SAP.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required;
  • Up to Five years’ of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with an attention to detail required.
  • Organizational skills, teamwork skills, and the ability to multi-task are required.
  • Knowledge of equipment such as pumps, ovens, stirrers, dryers and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance is required.
