About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Measure and weigh chemical ingredients, according to procedure.
- Read and understand batch procedures and work instructions including related MSDSs (material safety data sheets).
- Record operational data, such as weights, ingredients used, processing times, or test results.
- Draw samples of products for the Analytical Department.
- Notify internal resources as directed to troubleshoot technical issues with equipment.
- Operate equipment for chemical purification or reaction during product processing.
- Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and flow as directed by supervision.
- Collect product samples for QC analysis at designated stages to assess chemical properties.
- Retrieve analytical results via SharePoint and SAP.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A High School Diploma or GED is required;
- Up to Five years’ of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Self-starter with an attention to detail required.
- Organizational skills, teamwork skills, and the ability to multi-task are required.
- Knowledge of equipment such as pumps, ovens, stirrers, dryers and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance is required.
