About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage continuity of ISO 9001 certification and ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
- Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectations of finished products.
- Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards, inspection criteria and procedures.
- Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
- Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
- Design, develop and implement quality control training programs and maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous quality management experience in manufacturing/industrial, military or energy environment required.
- ASQ Certification and Lean Six Sigma experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation required.
- Quality systems and project management experience required.
- Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and service excellence.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future and willing to travel up to 10%.
