About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Purchase materials for manufacturing as well as supplies and services for the facility.
  • Build and maintain strong internal & external supplier relationships to achieve continuous improvements in delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Participate in supply chain decision making.
  • Prepare purchase orders and solicit bid proposals.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on various criteria.
  • Identify new sources of materials and ensure qualification.
  • Negotiate prices and contracts within budgetary limitations.
  • Support SAP data maintenance and procurement tools.
  • Work with internal customers and suppliers to resolve claims related to invoices and quality of delivered goods.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of experience supporting a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Computer proficiency in an ERP system such as SAP as well as MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel is required.
  • APICS certification is preferred.
