About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You support the procurement organization in the efficient execution of purchasing processes and promote the continuous optimization of procurement workflows.
- You review purchase requisitions, create purchase orders and manage the entire ordering and contract process.
- You carry out low-risk local and global sourcing activities, including requests for quotations, price comparisons and negotiations in coordination with strategic buyers.
- You maintain supplier, material and contract master data in the relevant systems and ensure its quality.
- You prepare reports and analyses on purchasing KPIs, spend and savings to support data-driven decisions.
- You monitor compliance with purchasing policies and procurement processes and assist with escalations in the event of scheduling or quality deviations.
- You contribute to improving contract coverage and reducing maverick buying.
- You support the continuous development and automation of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed commercial vocational training or equivalent qualification and several years of professional experience in purchasing/procurement
- Structured, independent and process-oriented working style, with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Analytical mindset and a strong service orientation
- Willingness to continuously optimize and automate processes
- High IT affinity and confident user of SAP and Microsoft Office
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
