About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You are technically responsible for the production equipment and ensure high equipment availability while complying with all legal requirements and internal standards
  • You ensure high equipment availability, production capacity and process stability for these systems
  • You analyze and permanently eliminate equipment faults using structured root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Whys)
  • You monitor and optimize equipment metrics such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, energy consumption, utilization and quality indicators
  • You plan and implement equipment optimizations (e.g., to improve availability, reliability and lifetime) as well as technical capital projects
  • You perform FMEA and risk assessments and define maintenance and inspection concepts, which you sustainably implement within maintenance
  • You coordinate and supervise external contractors during ongoing operations and work closely with adjacent departments, particularly EHS, Production and Maintenance
  • You participate in the on-call rota to ensure plant operation at all times

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed technical training or a degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
  • At least 5 years of experience in equipment engineering or in supporting complex industrial plants; experience in cleanroom environments is desirable
  • Knowledge in Reliability, Asset Management or Maintenance
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis, continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or TPM
  • Ideally experience with SPC, FDC, APC and MES systems
  • High level of self-organization, structured working methods and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Analytical mindset and confident handling of technical data and evaluation methods
