About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop secure base software for MCU-based automotive systems.
- Lead and implement secure bootloader solutions, including: Boot sequence design, Firmware validation mechanisms, Secure firmware update strategies (OTA/flash).
- Configure and integrate secure hardware peripherals, such as: HSM (Hardware Security Module), CSM (Crypto Service Manager).
- Implement and support end-to-end cybersecurity features, including: Secure Boot, Secure Flashing, Secure Diagnostics, Message Authentication mechanisms.
- Debug and resolve low-level embedded issues under pressure, ensuring reliable and secure system behavior.
- Collaborate with US-based stakeholders for technical alignment, issue resolution, and delivery tracking.
- Work independently with minimal ramp-up, taking ownership of complex deliverables.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ for microcontroller-based systems.
- Proven experience in secure bootloader development: Firmware authentication and integrity validation: Boot chain security, Secure update mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with MCU security configuration, including: HSM / CSM integration, Key management and secure storage.
- Experience with automotive cybersecurity features, such as: Secure Boot, Secure Flash, Secure Diagnostics, Message Authentication (MAC).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills at low-level embedded layers.
- Advanced English Communication.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience in automotive ECUs, Familiarity with AUTOSAR, Knowledge of standards like ISO 26262, ASPICE, Experience working with OEM/Tier 1 environments.
