About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and lead nationwide Key Account (Modern Trade) strategy, covering convenience stores chains, local/independent marts and airport vendors, aligned with Trade Development priorities, brand portfolio direction and channel growth opportunities
  • Drive end-to-end performance tracking, covering volume, share, pricing, visibility, portfolio and out-of-stock, ensuring timely communication on variances and corrective actions to both Key Accounts and internal partners
  • Manage resources and budget effectively, ensuring disciplined investment, compliance with internal controls and continuous evaluation of return on investment, supported by account performance reviews, and P&L forecasts
  • Translate strategy into execution by collaborating closely with regional sales teams, ensuring Key Account plans are on time, in full, with clear governance, communication and course correction where required
  • Strengthen commercial outcomes and team effectiveness through strong ownership, strategic analysis of competitor performance, new product launches and portfolio initiatives, while role modelling a balance between strategic negotiation and executional excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 10 years of Key Account or Modern Trade experience, preferably within FMCG or MNC environments
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Commercial or related fields
  • Strong understanding of Key Account/ Modern Trade management, including account strategy, trading terms, customer negotiation, activation planning and in-store execution
  • Proven ability to lead strategic negotiations with key customers, ensuring executional excellence and delivering measurable business impact
  • Strong commercial competence, with the ability to analyse volume, share, pricing, portfolio, availability, out-of-stock and competitor performance to identify growth opportunities
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and partner management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Regional teams, Distributors, Finance, Brand, Supply Chain and external customers
  • Proven leadership capability, including coaching, developing and engaging teams to deliver priorities on time and in full
