CFO Assistant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactive and forward-looking support for the CFO in day-to-day operations, active management of the CFO’s email inbox, and assistance with strategic finance and corporate projects.
- Ensuring seamless preparation and follow-up for meetings, including pre-reads, drafting minutes, and tracking action items.
- Acting as a professional interface and first point of contact for internal and external top stakeholders (Supervisory Board, banks, auditors, and the worldwide managing directors of Heraeus OpCos).
- Coordinating and prioritizing appointments, meetings and documentation for the CFO, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of information.
- Confidently managing a highly dynamic, global agenda while taking priorities into account, including detailed travel planning and expense reconciliation.
- Preparing high-quality, confidential correspondence in German and English.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or a comparable, high-caliber commercial qualification.
- Several years of solid professional experience supporting C-level executives (Board/CEO), ideally in an international corporate environment, a strategy consultancy, or investment banking.
- Mastery of the MS Office suite, basic understanding of SAP and modern digital collaboration tools, and the curiosity and willingness to further develop the role with respect to the use of AI.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly grasp complex financial and operational-finance relationships, prepare and organize information, produce decision papers, and present KPIs in a structured manner.
- Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken, with confident communication toward internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Excellent organizational skills with a structured and proactive way of working.
- Absolute discretion and diplomatic assertiveness, combined with a strong hands-on mentality.
