Senior Corporate Credit Manager
Minor Hotels Europe and AmericasSenior Corporate Credit Manager managing the credit management process across global business units. Overseeing credit inquiries, risk assessments, and reporting while coordinating with various departments.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As Senior Corporate Credit Manager (m/f/d), you independently manage the entire credit management process within your area of responsibility and serve as the point of contact for the respective global business units on all credit management matters.
- You assess and structure credit requests from operational units and act as the central interface between risk committees, various service departments of the Heraeus Group, and the operational units.
- In addition, you review credit risk assessments carried out by local credit managers and prepare and/or coordinate meetings for the various levels of Heraeus credit committees.
- You lead and support monthly global credit management reporting and other month‑end closing activities, in particular the global credit management reporting.
- You contribute to the further development of our global credit management strategy, policies and processes with appropriate regional differentiation.
- You are responsible as the central contact for the selection of credit insurance agencies and credit information providers.
- Ensuring compliance with our credit management policies and analysing the market environment for potential credit management risks are also part of your duties.
- You also advise our global business units on hedging and protection strategies in customer transactions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A university degree in business administration or a comparable qualification with strong financial understanding.
- At least three years of professional experience in credit management at a larger corporation, or in the banking or insurance sector.
- Familiarity with various accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, HGB/German GAAP).
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), SAP R/3 and BI reporting tools.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
- Willingness to independently take appropriate risks and a proactive working style.
- Strong commercial awareness and communication skills, and the ability to handle a high level of responsibility.
