About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform BIW structural design activities across key areas such as pillars, roof, underbody, and front-end systems
- Create precise NX CAD surface models and ensure adherence to quality and Class-A requirements
- Apply BIW sheet-metal concepts, forming/deep-drawing knowledge, and manufacturing feasibility guidelines
- Integrate suitable joining techniques and joining elements into BIW designs
- Support component development and provide inputs on casting components where applicable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2.5-5.5 years of experience
- BIW knowledge
- NX CAD Surface modelling
- Knowledge on Joining techniques
- Good understanding of sheet metal/forming/deep drawing parts development
- Understanding of GD&T
