Key responsibilities & impact

Provide project management of software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platform.
Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resources.
Analyze the need for and provide the necessary project management for project planning, execution (including the development of project plans).
Report on project activities, changes in scope, challenges and requirements to the leadership team as a strategic tool in keeping implementers and decision makers moving toward consistent, business or mission-focused goals and objectives.
Communicate with management internally and at the customer on ongoing status, milestones, and project risks.
Review and analyze process & procedures in order to find opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies, then help drive implementation of these improvements.
Monitor, assess, and improve the effectiveness of program best practices, ensuring continual process and quality improvement with a primary focus on the client account.

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least five years of technical project management experience - PMP or PRINCE2 certification
Demonstrated knowledge of operations and project management skills
Experience managing cross-functional technical teams, with overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to organize competing priorities and adapt to change
IBM Z Mainframe experience
Experience with IBM Z software products with ISV Product replacement with IBM products
Demonstrated excellent written and communication skills.
