About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and continuously enhance group-wide IT category strategies with a focus on software, cloud, SaaS, subscription models, IT services and strategic technology partners
Manage and further develop global provider and vendor landscapes, taking into account cost, risk, compliance and innovation aspects
Design scalable governance and control approaches in a decentralized international corporate environment
Identify and implement strategic value levers across global IT spend
Negotiate complex international enterprise agreements as well as strategic software, cloud and licensing contracts
Develop commercial licensing and contracting strategies in close collaboration with IT, Legal and relevant business stakeholders
Manage and optimize licensing, subscription and cloud models with a focus on cost-effectiveness, transparency and risk minimization
Support audit, compliance and governance matters related to licensing
Act as a sparring partner for IT leadership, CIO-facing functions and international business stakeholders on strategic procurement and provider matters
Facilitate complex interests between global governance requirements and the operational autonomy of the operating companies
Support strategic transformation and digitization initiatives from a commercial and contractual perspective
Identify and implement sustainable cost, structural and efficiency improvements as outlined above
Further develop professional contract, supplier and commercial governance approaches
Optional: Functional and, prospectively, disciplinary leadership of a small specialized team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Law or a comparable qualification
At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in strategic IT procurement, IT category management, vendor management or license management
Solid experience negotiating complex international IT, cloud and licensing contracts
Proven expertise with enterprise agreements, software licensing, SaaS and cloud models
Experience developing and implementing strategic category and sourcing strategies
Strong understanding of commercial, contractual and risk-related aspects in the IT environment
Experience in international stakeholder management and in complex matrix and governance structures
Advantageous: additional experience in adjacent indirect categories, particularly professional services
Negotiation-level German and English
Strategic, analytical and entrepreneurial mindset
Strong negotiation and communication skills
High degree of autonomy and ability to drive complex topics forward in a structured way
Confident presence at senior management level
