Key responsibilities & impact

Reviews, prepares and negotiates legal and transactional documents for prospective reinsurance transactions
Provides transactional reinsurance related legal support and advice to business units and executive management
Supports affiliates on U.S. and international reinsurance transactions, advising on U.S. regulatory and legal issues
Researches and provides legal advice on legal and regulatory issues
Monitors new federal and state legislation laws affecting AZRA, affiliates and the reinsurance industry

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor degree (JD) from an ABA accredited law school
California State Bar license in good standing
3-5 years of legal experience at a major law firm, specializing in reinsurance and/or financial transactions
Solid business or transactional experience with excellent drafting skills
Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and online legal research tools
