About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and implement high-impact AI use cases across research, development, and innovation.
Design and support AI-enabled research environments, including integration with lab systems, data platforms, and knowledge management solutions.
Drive key AI-assisted research capabilities such as data analysis, knowledge discovery, experimental planning, and workflow automation.
Support the digital transformation of R&D by improving research workflows, data environments, and collaboration processes.
Contribute to the development of a long-term digital innovation strategy, including AI integration and lab digitalization.
Monitor emerging technologies (e.g. generative AI, AI agents, digital labs) and translate them into practical use cases and pilot projects.
Build and strengthen a cross-company innovation ecosystem with internal and external partners.
Act as a trusted advisor to innovation leaders and drive cross-functional collaboration to accelerate innovation and reduce time-to-market.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, natural sciences or a comparable technical field
Several years of experience applying AI, data science or digital technologies in R&D, Innovation organizations or technology-driven industries
Strong understanding of existing and emerging AI technologies with direct relevance to scientific environments
Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on implementation
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially when working with senior Innovation leaders and technical experts
Experience working in international and cross-functional environments is a plus
