Risk Specialist
Minor Hotels Europe and Americas. Promote a risk-based decision-making culture across the Organization, providing appropriate support to the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee in fulfilling their responsibilities related to the protection of policyholders and in managing Allianz Portugal's risk profile .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote a risk-based decision-making culture across the Organization, providing appropriate support to the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee in fulfilling their responsibilities related to the protection of policyholders and in managing Allianz Portugal's risk profile
- Ensure implementation of the minimum risk standards defined by the Allianz Group, and promote compliance with the related policies, limits and guidelines
- Periodically review risk management methodologies and tools
- Prepare the Company's capital requirement calculations and all internal and external reports related to capital requirements and risk structure
- Prepare the Company's Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), and monitor the Company's medium-term solvency needs, taking into account the risk profile, approved risk tolerance limits and the Company's business strategy
- Organize and participate in the Risk Committee
- Plan, calculate and monitor the risks to which the Company is exposed in order to protect the Company's capital base
- Report internally and externally on all matters related to Risk Management
- Ensure processes and controls for identifying, monitoring and mitigating risks, participating in the identification of high-impact risks (TRA), and collaborating with all stakeholders to define mitigation plans and prepare the Company's risk matrix
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Economics, Management (Business Administration) or Mathematics
- Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in similar roles
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Fluent in Portuguese
- Proficiency in English (minimum level B2)
- Good actuarial knowledge
- Good knowledge of Solvency II
- Good understanding of Risk Management and modelling
- Good understanding of the Insurance and/or Financial industry, including the organization and structure of insurance and/or financial companies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Presentation skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage conflicts and negotiation skills
- Ability to interact across the organization while maintaining independence; strong assertiveness
