About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain BIOS/UEFI firmware for x86 platforms
- Develop and customize BIOS/UEFI firmware using AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix codebases
- Own UEFI boot flow, platform initialization, and BIOS feature development
- Support platform bring-up, debugging, and firmware integration
- Work on x86 (Intel/AMD) architecture and PC industry standards
- Debug complex firmware issues and support end-to-end BIOS releases
- Collaborate in global, cross-cultural engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
- 4–12+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development
- Expertise in C/C++, firmware debugging, and version control (Git/Gerrit/SVN)
- Strong experience with BIOS/UEFI development and boot flow (EDK I/II, Intel PI Spec)
- Hands-on knowledge of x86 architecture and standards (PCIe, ACPI, USB, NVMe, JEDEC)
- Experience with Coreboot/LinuxBoot, board bring-up, and platform porting is a plus
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
