About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the business development and trade marketing strategy, with Greece as a key multi-category growth engine, ensuring alignment between commercial objectives and brand priorities.
  • Identify and capture growth opportunities across Heated Products, Modern Oral, and Vapour, including new channels, partnerships, and route-to-market models.
  • Lead trade and field force transformation initiatives by implementing trade systems and commercial platforms that strengthen retail presence and drive impactful consumer engagement.
  • Enhance in-store visibility through innovative and compliant POSM strategies.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to prioritize outlets, optimize execution, and achieve operational excellence.
  • Simplify and standardize field force operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop strategic partnerships, pilots, and initiatives that accelerate category growth while improving merchandiser and promoter performance.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery and governance of business development initiatives, ensuring ROI, financial discipline, and measurable business impact in partnership with Finance.
  • Lead a high-performing team, contributing to strategy, alignment, and business performance as part of the GMCI Leadership Team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Senior leadership experience in Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Field Force Leadership, Sales Enablement, or Transformation, ideally within FMCG and/or regulated environments.
  • Proven track record of driving multi-category growth and commercial transformation.
  • Strong experience leading complex change initiatives, including digital tools and new ways of working.
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Able to operate effectively at leadership team level, influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex, ambiguous situations.
  • Strong people leadership and change management capability.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of Greek is considered an advantage.
