About the role

  • Conduct and lead audit assignments through full audit cycle including planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow up
  • Comply with relevant audit policies and standards
  • Transforming with technology, further enhance audit process and deepen audit insights through the use and implementation of DA and AI
  • Assist in the maintenance of a dynamic audit universe, incorporating emerging risks and significant changes to the business in the annual risk assessment process
  • Keep abreast of industry and product specific developments and reflect relevant risks / controls in the audit execution
  • Monitor and report on the disposition and status of action plans and conduct substantive tests of compliance, as necessary
  • Support management team on formulating trends and key thematic messages during year-end audit result aggregation
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, at all levels and control functions
  • Develop strong business acumen and bring value adding services to internal clients
  • Promote Direct Internal Audit as a competent and trusted business partner and live the Allianz values

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in audit, in an insurance/finance function (e.g. UW, Finance, Risk, Claims, IT) or as a consultant or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen with empathy for the auditee’s perspective is required
  • English communications skills (verbal and written) are required, basic German language skills are a plus
  • A self-motivation and a proactive and committed working style, as well as the ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures
  • Ideally you will have a University Degree in economics, business administration, information technology, mathematics or equivalent
  • Audit certifications (CIA, CPA, CISA) or other certifications (e.g. CFA) would be beneficial
  • Strong intellectual and analytical skills and solid understanding of processes, structures, and regulatory environment for the Insurance industry
  • Solid digital skills in a direct/online insurance context, including AI, data analytics and interpretation, basic programming, and understanding of IT general controls.
