About the role
- Design and implement database structures to support business applications and ensure data integrity.
- Install and configure database management systems.
- Monitor database performance across various platforms and identify bottlenecks.
- Implement and maintain database security measures.
- Develop, implement, and manage backup and recovery strategies.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
- Work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other IT staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a related role.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and database technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications in database technologies or related areas are a plus.
- Experience with AWS cloud platforms and cloud-based services.
