Business Development Manager
Minor Hotels Europe and AmericasBusiness Development Manager responsible for the broker and travel advisors channels at Allianz Partners in Vancouver. Driving revenue growth through client management and business development initiatives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage assigned accounts within the Travel & Broker channels: Deliver best‑in‑class service to partner accounts, ensuring timely, high‑quality support.
- Lead regular partner check‑ins and performance reviews.
- Build strong relationships and maintain a deep understanding of partner needs.
- Coordinate partner visits and training sessions, both onsite and remote.
- Manage partner renewals and track performance against targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, compliance, licensing, L&D) to ensure smooth operations.
- Work with partners to identify opportunities for additional revenue.
- Build business cases to prioritize and implement new revenue generating opportunities.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities related to partners’ business.
- Attend industry events and track market trends to identify new business opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- College diploma/degree (or equivalent) with background in business, sales, or marketing.
- 5+ years of sales account or client management experience (insurance industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of industry trends, client needs, and business development.
- Experience with modern client management, sales and business development strategies, with a track record of achieving goals.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively, build consensus, and manage diverse relationships.
- Demonstrated success in generating new business and driving client retention and growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels.
- Self-starter with strong ownership and a drive to improve processes.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is an asset.
- Proficient with MS Teams.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Extensive travel required.
