About the role

  • Analyze, underwrite and accept technical risks to ensure the defined sustainable growth and profitability of the product.
  • Monitor and analyze co-insurance participations to ensure the Company’s contractual obligations are met.
  • Ensure service levels (number of blocks + Service-Level Agreement - SLA).
  • Place the facultative reinsurance necessary to secure the underwritten liabilities.
  • Periodically monitor the issuance of premiums, guarantees and outputs, with corresponding reporting and follow-up on any IT incidents.
  • Provide training and technical support to the Company’s commercial area and brokers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics or Engineering (minimum).
  • Strong knowledge of property insurance lines.
  • Minimum professional experience of 3–4 years in underwriting (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Excel.
  • Fluent in Portuguese.
  • Proficient in English (minimum B2 level).
  • Knowledge of AI, specifically ChatGPT.
  • Customer and market focus, entrepreneurial mindset and confidence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, planning and organizational abilities, team spirit, results orientation and adaptability to change.
