About the role
- Bathurst Expansion: Join our growing team as we expand our regional claims specialist program to include a Bathurst position, enhancing our reach and impact.
- Facilitate Access to Community Programs: Guide workers in navigating local community resources and assist them in accessing necessary support to overcome barriers.
- Support Workers in Connecting with Community Supports: Actively connect workers with community programs to foster their recovery and return-to-work journey.
- Attend Medical Case Conferences: Provide face-to-face support at medical case conferences, ensuring workers' needs are addressed and integrated into the claims process.
- Build Strong Relationships: Establish rapport with workers to understand their unique situations and needs, fostering trust and effective communication.
- Network with Claims Teams: Work strategically with claims teams to ensure seamless integration of community support into the claims process.
- Professional Interaction: Maintain professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers.
- Person-Centered Claims Management: Employ a person-centered approach, focusing on understanding and addressing the individual needs of workers.
Requirements
- Demonstrated Experience: Extensive knowledge of local community programs, government-funded initiatives, and local charity supports to assist workers in overcoming barriers.
- Proven Experience: Experience in social work or community engagement roles, with a strong understanding of how local current affairs and activities impact employers and their workforce.
- Qualifications: Allied Health or Social Work qualifications are highly regarded.
- Interpersonal Skills: High-level sensitivity and interpersonal skills for effective relationship building.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Independent Work Ethic: Comfortable working independently to achieve goals and desired outcomes.
- Technology savvy: An interest in leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
