About the role

  • Join Capgemini Engineering to secure and optimize automation systems in a GMP environment, from requirements gathering through commissioning and qualification.
  • Serve as the technical reference linking Process, QA/QV, Production, Maintenance and integrators.
  • Expertise & studies: gather URS, perform functional analyses, produce SFS/SDS specifications, design PLC/SCADA/MES architectures.
  • Development & integration: PLC programming (Siemens TIA/S7, Rockwell, Schneider), HMI/SCADA (WinCC, FTView, iFIX, Panorama…), MES/historian interfacing.
  • Commissioning: FAT/SAT, diagnostics, tuning, production performance optimization, handover to operations teams.
  • Qualification/Validation: contribute to DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ, ensure traceability, manage Change Control in coordination with Quality Assurance.
  • Data Integrity & cybersecurity: manage access control, audit trails, backups/restores, compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 (in coordination with IT/OT).
  • Project support: provide technical leadership with suppliers, track delivery schedules, manage obsolescence, standardize libraries.
  • Documentation: prepare technical dossiers, protocols/reports, and SOPs for operations and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Control/Automation, Industrial IT, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical automation.
  • Proficient in at least one PLC/HMI/SCADA ecosystem (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider) and familiar with industrial networks (Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA).
  • Demonstrated experience with FAT/SAT and GMP qualification (impeccable documentation practices).
  • Professional working English.
