About the role

  • Collaborate with various teams to define, document, and communicate availability requirements and SLAs for IT services and systems
  • Define and document availability requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure IT services meet business needs and user expectations
  • Continuously monitor the performance and availability of IT services
  • Generate reports to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with incident and problem management teams to address service disruptions promptly
  • Ensure root causes are identified and resolved to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with capacity management teams to ensure infrastructure supports required availability levels
  • Optimize resource allocation and plan for future growth
  • Detection and Logging: Identify and record events as they occur to maintain visibility into the IT environment
  • Classification and Filtering: Categorize events (informational, warning, exception) to prioritize responses effectively
  • Response Coordination: Initiate appropriate responses, escalate incidents, or trigger automated actions to mitigate issues
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze event data to identify trends and enhance service reliability and performance
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze current and future capacity requirements based on business needs and service demand
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance and resource utilization to detect trends and potential bottlenecks
  • Resource Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize resource usage, ensuring efficient allocation while maintaining service quality
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with availability, service management, and other IT teams to align capacity planning with service delivery and business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Proven experience in availability management, incident management, or a related IT role
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and cross‑team collaboration abilities
  • Familiarity with IT service availability monitoring tools and methodologies
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Proficiency in English and German at C1 level (mandatory)
