About the role
- Working closely with clients to understand requirements, design solutions, configure systems, and document processes
- Act as the functional lead for SAP Retail and CAR and ensure alignment with overall program objectives
- Serve as a functional expert and trusted advisor for SAP Retail and CAR
- Lead and facilitate functional workshops with retail business stakeholders
- Create and validate process maps and solution designs for retail operations
- Document configuration, functional specifications, and test cases
- Execute unit testing and support integration/system testing
- Perform system configuration for SAP Retail components (e.g., Merchandise Management, Pricing, Promotions, Inventory Management) and SAP CAR
- Provide inputs to program leadership and integration streams
- Ensure knowledge transfer to business users and support teams
- Collaborate with technical teams for interfaces, POS integration, and enhancements
- Support omnichannel retail processes including real-time inventory visibility and sales analytics
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5+ years in SAP Retail
- Proven experience as Functional Solution Design Manager or Senior Manager in SAP Retail
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Retail, SAP CAR, and integration with POS systems
- At least 2-3 end-to-end SAP Retail implementations, including hands-on configuration
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to run workshops independently
- Deep understanding of Retail Master Data, Article Hierarchies, Assortment Management, Pricing, Promotions, and Inventory
- Knowledge of integration with SAP SD/MM, Fiori apps, and third-party retail systems
- Experience in omnichannel retail, real-time inventory, and sales analytics
