About the role
- Lead end-to-end Quality Engineering delivery across multiple enterprise programs, ensuring predictable outcomes, high quality, and on-time releases.
- Drive AI-enabled quality engineering initiatives, including intelligent test automation, test optimization, analytics-driven quality insights, and continuous improvement.
- Manage large, distributed QE teams (30–50 members), with effective onshore–offshore coordination, capacity planning, and delivery governance.
- Establish and lead quality transformation and QE CoE initiatives, embedding automation-first and AI-assisted testing practices across the organization.
- Define and implement QE strategy, test planning, and execution frameworks aligned with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders, and engage with CxO-level stakeholders for quality reporting, release readiness, and strategic updates.
- Promote innovation, operational excellence, and strategic thinking across the Quality Engineering organization while managing delivery risks and dependencies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Testing, or Software Engineering, with significant responsibility for delivery and program leadership
- Proven experience as a QE/Test Manager leading programs with 10+ testers, and managing large-scale, multi-team engagements
- Strong expertise in Quality Engineering delivery management and leading or contributing to Testing Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in Retail domain
- Hands-on knowledge of modern testing approaches, including functional, regression, performance, and non-functional testing, with an automation-first mindset
- Experience incorporating AI and intelligent automation into testing strategies (e.g., test optimization, defect prediction, analytics-driven quality metrics)
- Deep familiarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, including quality governance across release cycles
- Excellent program management and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to and influencing senior and CxO-level leaders; hands-on experience with test automation and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail), with SAP testing experience considered a strong advantage.
