About the role
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective)
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles, Scrum framework and best practices
- Coach team members on Agile methodology and self-organization
- Remove impediments that hinder the team's progress
- Foster a collaborative, high-trust environment within the team
- Support the Product Owner in maintaining a healthy product backlog
- Track and communicate team progress through metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.)
- Act as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders
- Ensure transparency of team progress, risks and dependencies
- Facilitate cross-team coordination in multi-team environments
- Encourage innovation and experimentation within the team
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve delivery effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable outcomes
- Identify, track and escalate risks or blockers
- Anticipate and mitigate delivery issues
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile principles and frameworks (Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM III), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS)
- Technical understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps or Rally
