About the role

  • Take full responsibility for managing projects to provide a defined deliverable(s) to specification, within agreed cost and timescale, meeting the necessary quality standards and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct client negotiations to agree on terms for changes to the scope of the project to ensure commercial viability and to set realistic expectations
  • Manage the project teams, plan activities and monitor progress, and ensure all project deliverables are provided using best practices and are of an appropriate quality
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Programs & Governance function
  • Provide factual analysis of the project portfolio and teams performance through the definition and compliance to standard tools and processes
  • Provide Project Management consultants across Customers
  • Manage a team of senior Project Management professionals
  • Develop their skills and capabilities
  • Influences senior client personnel and organizations including senior executive management when issues are unique, complex, and difficult
  • Accountable for a range of strategic improvement initiatives that provides benefits across the Organization
  • Provide consulting Project Managers to critical projects

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Information Technology, Engineering, or other appropriate disciplines
  • Project Management certification from industry recognized body
  • Extensive industry experience across organizations / industries
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Project Management or Technical Management roles
  • Managing technical teams in a variety of functions or industries and/or managing customer portfolios in a Technology group
  • Previous experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform or similar hybrid cloud implementations
  • Ability to demonstrate and speak to experience with monitoring project budgets, forecasts, and strict adherence to financial controls
  • Communication – ability to communicate with and influence the Program teams
  • Analysis – able to interpret business impacts from data
  • Process & Compliance Orientation – defines and upholds the standards used to manage the Project Portfolio
  • Relationship Management – establishes & maintains sound relationships with all stakeholders.
