About the role
- Deploying software releases across various environments, ensuring smooth rollouts and minimal downtime.
- Maintaining and adapting the DevOps toolchain, including tools such as Jenkins for CI/CD, GitLab for version control, and Nexus or Artifactory for artifact management.
- Developing small scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for deployment processes, tool configurations, and troubleshooting guides to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
- Troubleshooting software issues in collaboration with development and operations teams, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring and log analysis.
Requirements
- Due to the sensitive nature of the project for a client in the defense industry, strict security regulations apply.
- Access is limited exclusively to project team members who are citizens of Germany, France, or Spain.
- Candidates must undergo a security screening in accordance with §7 of the German Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG), including the successful acquisition of level Ü2 security clearance.
- A solid foundation in IT, with basic scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Initial experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, or Kubernetes, and a willingness to deepen this knowledge.
- Basic Linux skills, including familiarity with the command line, file system navigation, and basic system administration tasks.
- Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate in an international team environment.
