About the role

  • Shaping modern, AI-compliant software architecture, including interface definition, modularization and scaling concepts.
  • Designing and developing new ADAS functions, validation algorithms and KPI validation frameworks in C/C++, with a strong focus on data-driven approaches and AI tool support.
  • Taking responsibility for clarifying and refining technical requirements in close coordination with customers and internal stakeholders, and for developing high-quality, high-performance and maintainable software according to modern programming standards and best practices.
  • Data-driven development: using recorded vehicle and simulation data to validate, optimize and improve ADAS algorithms.
  • Performing software tests and function validations directly on the vehicle, including fault analysis, bug fixing and feeding results back into the development process.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
  • Senior software developer with solid expertise in C++ (C++17) and Python, confident with Clean Code, OOP and TDD, and practical experience in ADAS/AD software development (ROS, QNX) and embedded real-time automotive systems.
  • Data-driven algorithms & AI: experience in data-driven development, validation frameworks, KPI evaluation, and background knowledge in AI, machine learning, robotics or computer vision.
  • Debugging, optimization & automotive processes: strong skills in software debugging, performance analysis and code optimization; solid understanding of automotive software development processes.
  • Excellent English skills; German language skills are advantageous.
