About the role
- Responsible for planning, implementing and managing investment and sustainability projects both domestically and internationally.
- Coordinate project interfaces such as Research & Development, Production, Instrumentation, Control and Electrical systems (I&C), Infrastructure and Building Services, as well as EHS and Procurement.
- Support production sites at home and abroad in the execution of plant projects.
- Develop and evaluate process and plant engineering concepts as well as sustainability concepts from technical and economic perspectives.
- Consider EHS aspects and permitting/regulatory requirements in planning.
- Prepare specifications for technical procurement.
- Supervise assembly and carry out plant commissioning.
- Translate operators’ requirements into concrete action packages and projects.
Requirements
- University degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
- Strong project management skills, including experience with large projects such as chemical plants
- In-depth expertise in developing and evaluating process and plant engineering concepts
- Solution-oriented, able to handle challenging project situations and open to technical solutions
- Professional and persuasive communication skills
- Affinity for the chemical production environment
- Knowledge of applicable occupational safety requirements and relevant technical standards
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP and MS Project
- Experience with CAD systems is an advantage
- Very good command of English and German
