About the role
- Responsible for global risk management of the Heraeus Group
- Further development of the Enterprise Risk Management framework for the Heraeus Group
- Define standards, policies and processes for risk control and oversee their worldwide implementation
- Coordinate and advise business units on the identification, assessment and management of risks
- Prepare and consolidate risk reporting for the Executive Board and senior management
- Conduct risk analyses and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making
- Develop methods and tools for risk monitoring (e.g., KRIs, dashboards)
- Promote a risk-aware corporate culture through training and workshops
- Work closely with Compliance, Internal Audit and other governance functions
Requirements
- University degree in economics, finance or a related field with a focus on finance or risk management
- At least 5 years of substantial professional experience in risk management within an international industrial company
- At least 5 years of solid experience in risk assessment, risk management and controlling, internal audit, process management or external audit—ideally in a global industrial company
- Experience with quantitative risk assessment methods and expertise in defining and implementing standards and guidelines
- Deep understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (e.g., COSO ERM, IDW PS 981, ISO 31000)
- Experience in establishing governance structures and reporting to executive management or the board
- Structured, results-oriented and assertive working style
