About the role

  • Responsible for global risk management of the Heraeus Group
  • Further development of the Enterprise Risk Management framework for the Heraeus Group
  • Define standards, policies and processes for risk control and oversee their worldwide implementation
  • Coordinate and advise business units on the identification, assessment and management of risks
  • Prepare and consolidate risk reporting for the Executive Board and senior management
  • Conduct risk analyses and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop methods and tools for risk monitoring (e.g., KRIs, dashboards)
  • Promote a risk-aware corporate culture through training and workshops
  • Work closely with Compliance, Internal Audit and other governance functions

Requirements

  • University degree in economics, finance or a related field with a focus on finance or risk management
  • At least 5 years of substantial professional experience in risk management within an international industrial company
  • At least 5 years of solid experience in risk assessment, risk management and controlling, internal audit, process management or external audit—ideally in a global industrial company
  • Experience with quantitative risk assessment methods and expertise in defining and implementing standards and guidelines
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (e.g., COSO ERM, IDW PS 981, ISO 31000)
  • Experience in establishing governance structures and reporting to executive management or the board
  • Structured, results-oriented and assertive working style
