About the role
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of life insurance platforms and systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and frameworks across multiple projects
- Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, integration strategies, and cloud solutions suitable for life insurance processes
- Oversee the selection and implementation of core insurance systems such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, and billing platforms
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the life insurance sector
- Mentor and guide development teams, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in software engineering
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and regulatory changes impacting the life insurance industry
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert level support during critical project phases
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in software development and architecture within the life insurance domain
- Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale mission critical insurance applications
- Strong understanding of life insurance products, policy administration, underwriting, claims, and regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in enterprise architecture, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience with core insurance systems and third-party integrations
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
