Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of life insurance platforms and systems
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and frameworks across multiple projects
Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, integration strategies, and cloud solutions suitable for life insurance processes
Oversee the selection and implementation of core insurance systems such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, and billing platforms
Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the life insurance sector
Mentor and guide development teams, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in software engineering
Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and regulatory changes impacting the life insurance industry
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert level support during critical project phases

Requirements

Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
8-10 years of progressive experience in software development and architecture within the life insurance domain
Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale mission critical insurance applications
Strong understanding of life insurance products, policy administration, underwriting, claims, and regulatory frameworks
Expertise in enterprise architecture, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices
Hands-on experience with core insurance systems and third-party integrations
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
