About the role
- Oversee CNC programming processes and ensure precision, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards
- Apply expert knowledge of FANUC G/M code, Heidenhain TNC 640, and Renishaw Probe and Laser systems
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences
- Collaborate with engineering and quality to develop, optimize, and validate CNC programs for maximum efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain and update CNC programming databases to ensure consistency and compliance with production standards
- Diagnose and resolve CNC-related issues, coordinating tool/material flow
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, production, and quality teams to coordinate assignments
- Work with vendors to source and order support equipment
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required; advanced technical training preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of CNC programming experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Mastercam and 5-axis programming
- Strong understanding of Blueprint Reading, GD&T, and advanced inspection tools and methods
- Ability to detect, isolate, and correct irregularities in machinery and equipment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and competing priorities
- Safety-oriented, mature, and detail-driven work ethic
