About the role

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business needs for new payment features, systems, or process improvements
  • Create user stories and detailed specifications to guide development
  • Design efficient payment workflows and analyze existing processes to identify cost-saving and error-reduction opportunities
  • Recommend improvements to enhance speed and reliability
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Finance teams to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure payment solutions meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR)
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate releases for new functionalities

Requirements

  • Payments Business Analyst (BA)
  • Define and analyze requirements for payment systems
  • Focus on transaction flows, fee structures, compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR), and process optimization
  • Creating documentation (user stories, workflows)
  • Collaborating with stakeholders
  • Supporting testing
  • Ensuring efficient, secure payment processing across multiple channels (APIs, card networks)
  • Deep understanding of payment lifecycles (authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks)
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (EMV, PCI-DSS)
