About the role
- Review and understand business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories
- Design, prepare, and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data
- Perform various types of manual testing including Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke and Sanity Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Execute test cases and document test results
- Identify, log, track, and follow up on defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
- Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Perform retesting and regression testing after defect fixes
- Ensure test coverage and adherence to quality standards
- Participate in test planning, daily standups, and review meetings
- Provide status reporting and test metrics when required
Requirements
- Over 3 years of experience in the banking domain
- Hands-on testing expertise across various banking applications and workflows
- Strong grasp of Core Banking Systems
- Experience with BB, CASA, and Online Account Opening (OAO) processes is a significant advantage.
