About the role
- Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for IBM Z environments
- Perform installation, configuration, and migration of IBM z/OS and USS systems
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Groovy and YAML
- Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git
- Troubleshoot and debug pipeline failures and build issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps tools and practices
- Provide technical guidance and support for DevOps transformation initiatives
- Interface with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Implement and optimize IBM Z DevOps products such as IDz, DBB, Wazi Deploy, and related tools
Requirements
- Strong background in application development or system programming on IBM Z
- Proven experience with IBM z/OS and USS environments
- Proficiency in Groovy scripting, YAML, Git (repos, branching), and pipeline debugging
- Excellent customer interfacing and collaboration skills
- Hands-on experience with DevOps products: IDz, DBB, Git, IBM Wazi Deploy, IDD, Artifactory, ADDI, zD&T
- Knowledge of IBM Z software stack: DBB, COBOL, CICS, PL/I, JCL, VSAM/QSAM, DB2
