About the role
- Execute manual integration and regression tests on merged software builds prior to release.
- Operate lab equipment, simulators, and measurement devices to validate system functionality.
- Ensure compatibility and correct operation of merged software branches across system components.
- Use Linux command-line tools for system setup, log retrieval, and troubleshooting.
- Document test results, track issues in Jira, and collaborate with developers for resolution.
- Participate in merge validation reviews and release readiness assessments.
- Support post-merge smoke testing and verification phases.
- Partner with automation engineers to identify opportunities for test automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in manual software testing, system verification, or integration testing
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum development environments
- Experience working in Linux environments and using basic command-line tools
- Hands-on experience with CI tools like Jenkins and workflow tools such as Bitbucket and Jira
- Exposure to medical device software or other safety-critical systems
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python or shell scripting) to assist with test data analysis
- Understanding of version control systems and branching workflows
