About the role

  • Execute manual integration and regression tests on merged software builds prior to release.
  • Operate lab equipment, simulators, and measurement devices to validate system functionality.
  • Ensure compatibility and correct operation of merged software branches across system components.
  • Use Linux command-line tools for system setup, log retrieval, and troubleshooting.
  • Document test results, track issues in Jira, and collaborate with developers for resolution.
  • Participate in merge validation reviews and release readiness assessments.
  • Support post-merge smoke testing and verification phases.
  • Partner with automation engineers to identify opportunities for test automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in manual software testing, system verification, or integration testing
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum development environments
  • Experience working in Linux environments and using basic command-line tools
  • Hands-on experience with CI tools like Jenkins and workflow tools such as Bitbucket and Jira
  • Exposure to medical device software or other safety-critical systems
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python or shell scripting) to assist with test data analysis
  • Understanding of version control systems and branching workflows
