About the role
- Develop and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, VSAM, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Utilize IBM utilities, File Manager, and version control tools (Changeman/Endevor) for code management
- Manage job scheduling and automation using TWS and CA7
- Handle incident management and service requests via ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Work in Agile environments using Rally for sprint planning and tracking
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, perform code reviews, and support production deployments
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing technical solutions and maintaining professionalism
Requirements
- Strong expertise in COBOL, VSAM, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Proficient in IBM JCL utilities, File Manager, and version control tools like Changeman/Endevor
- Experience with scheduling tools (TWS/CA7), ServiceNow, and Agile (Rally)
- Insurance domain knowledge and excellent client interaction skills are a plus
